Dr.
Blanchard is a pediatric physical therapist with a clinical expertise
in neonatal developmental care and early intervention with high-risk
infants. She received her doctoral degree from Boston University in
1995 where she studied the effects of prenatal cocaine exposure on neurobehavioral
functioning in young infants. She is certified on the NBAS and CLNBAS and has joined The
Brazelton Institute as a trainer for both scales. Dr. Blanchard is an
associate professor of physical therapy at the University of Hartford
in Connecticut. In addition to her faculty position, she is an Early
Intervention Provider and Consultant for the East Hartford and the
Capitol Region Education Council Birth to Three Programs in
Connecticut.
