Cecilia
Matson, a graduate from Tufts University, is the Research Study Coordinator
at the Brazelton Institute. She coordinates a collaborative study between
the Brazelton Institute and Harvard University Department of Psychology.
The goal of this collaborative research is to study early signs of temperament
by examining the relationship between newborn behavioral patterns and
behavioral patterns at four months of age (www.abinitiointernational.com)
Cecilia is a certified examiner on the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment
Scale (NBAS) and is on her way to becoming a trainer. She uses the scale
for data collection on the study and she also demonstrates the scale
to Harvard Medical School residents in their rotation in newborn medicine
at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
